Welcome to my website
My husband, Keith, and I moved from England to live in France a number of years ago to renovate an old water mill. When most of that work had been completed I took up painting and have attended a number of courses and classes locally. Painting gives me a tremendous amount of satisfaction and much of my inspiration comes from the beauty of the countryside surrounding our home in the foothills of the French Pyrenees, as well as from our travels, particularly in Africa and India.
My work has developed over the years and, now that we have created a studio, I can indulge my love of experimentation with many types of media, natural pigments, watercolour, various stains, and acrylics. As always using lots of water, enjoying the flow and looking for those happy accidents!
My style of painting now leans towards the simplification of shapes and I find myself on the borders between figurative and abstract art.
I have had a number of successful exhibitions on my own, locally in France and also in Spain, and have I have participated many times in local exhibitions and events on a group basis.
I hope you enjoy looking at the paintings.
